Subcutaneous Abscess Caused by Nocardia otitidiscaviarum |

A 61-year-old-Korean woman suffering from hypopituitarism accompanied by thyroid insufficiency, adrenal insufficiency, Diabetes mellitus was examined for subcutaneous abscess on her left inner thigh. The causative organism was identified as Nocardia otitidiscaviarum.
To our knowledge, the present case is the first known Korean case of primary cutaneous nocardiosis caused by Nocardia otitidiscaviarum.
